There’s nothing quite like being a tourist. Although many of us hate to be that person, the one who has their camera ready at all times to take photos, we sometimes can’t help it. Even if we aren’t tourists, our culture pushes us to constantly take photos for our followers. Instagram is filled with photos of The Bean or Times Square, and we can’t help but like them. Whether you’ve been to these locations or not, it seems like a rite of passage to take pics at Instagram worthy spots in big cities. Even if you live in or around these major cities, you may still find yourself searching for Instagram worthy spots in Nashville, or any city for that matter. But Nashville is a goldmine for photo ops.
A great tourist city is Nashville, TN. It may not live up to the height or population of Chicago or New York, but it’s still incredibly popular! This country capital has a number of great photo ops, and it’s a perfect city to photograph. As someone who lives in Nashville, I have seen my fair share of cliché tourist pics. Whether you want cliché or just plain gorgeous, here’s some Instagram worthy spots in Nashville!

Although Nashville has a number of cute streets, a great spot for Instagram pics is 12 Ave S. This street has a lot of boutiques and cute restaurants. You could spend hours wandering around and taking cute pictures. Plus, once you take all the photos you want, you can grab some ice cream at Jeni’s or a cupcake from Sprinkles!

The Parthenon

Don’t ask me why Nashville has a replica of The Parthenon, but it does. While it does cost money to go inside, you can spend some time outside wandering Centennial Park to fit your Instagram fancy. This area, near West End, is a great place to take photos, go running, or just enjoy the the Grecian history that so clearly exists in Nashville. (That was sarcasm.) Everyone loves a good photo of the Parthenon!

Bicentennial Park

Another great park is Bicentennial. This park sits near the capitol building, and it’s also right next to a farmer’s market. If you’re looking for a spot with some flowers and trees, or a wide open field, look no further! Bicentennial has lots of Instagram worthy spots, whether you’re shooting on your smartphone or DSLR.

McKay Used Books

If you ever go Instagram and see rows and rows of books and shelves, chances are you’re probably looking at McKay’s warehouse. Not only is this a great place to shop, but it’s an awesome Instagram worthy spot for tourists. (Okay, not just tourists.) This used bookstore is packed with rows of media, and the view from upstairs will take your breath away.

Downtown Broadway

New York isn’t the only Broadway! Of course, Nashville’s Broadway focuses more on karaoke bars and less on theatrical plays. If you’re looking for lots of people, great neon signs, and that great Nashville charm, you’ll probably find it on Broadway. This stretch of downtown has a number of great Instagram worthy spots where you can prove that you can line dance or that you can sing Sara Bareilles.

Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge

Looking for a great spot to photograph the Nashville skyline? The Pedestrian Bridge is the place to be! It’s a great place to watch the sunset and then walk over to Broadway. You’ll have the perfect view of the Batman building, and you can show all your friends how beautiful Nashville is!

I believe in Nashville wall

While you’re on 12 Ave S, make sure you check out the I Believe in Nashville wall. I guarantee it is the most cliché mural in Nashville, but you have to get your photo taken there at least once. It’s definitely Instagram worthy, and I’ve seen so many photos that utilize this cute wall!

Natchez Trace Parkway

If you go outside the city of Nashville, you’ll find even more Instagram worthy spots to photograph. The Natchez Trace Parkway is basically a road with a view, and it’s the perfect spot to get your dramatic landscape shots.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art

Another spot that’s outside the city is Cheekwood Gardens. It’s a bit of a drive, and it does cost money to get in. However,  if you go when all the flowers are in bloom it’s the perfect spot to take flower photos for Instagram! It’s also a great place to go if you want to take more professional photos on your DSLR camera.

Do you remember way back when Taylor Swift released her music video for “Love Story”? Remember the castle she used? This is that castle. Located about 45 min outside of Nashville, this gorgeous castle is the perfect Instagram worthy spot in Nashville. What better way to spend your trip than imagining you’re a princess?
