It was in the year 2015 when Rich Piana became married to Sara Heimisdottir who is a young lady from Iceland. Rich Piana wife or rather, the ex-wife, is also a bodybuilder who is dedicated to improving her physique.
The wedding that they have had was unlike any of the other weddings that people have witnessed in the past. It was a very different wedding with a lot of other bodybuilders present at the event. It was the biggest wedding that occurred at that time but it did not last for more than a year. After some time, Rich Piana wife decided that a divorce is imminent.
Happier Times
Over the past years, Rich Piana has gained a lot of followers on social media. The videos that he uploads usually get millions of views. He also has a lot of following on social media. The moment that he announced that he and Sarah would be getting married (this was in 2015) the fans immediately looked at Sarah’s profile and liked her immediately. After the announcement, Sarah became a constant presence in Piana’s videos.
A lot of people love seeing them together because they seemed perfect for each other. They are passionate about the same things and they seem to be happy whenever they are together. They even took time to travel the different parts of the world. People who were rooting for them became shocked when it was officially announced that they have split up.
The Split
Their fans became confused of their split because just months before, they have seen how they looked at each other. They seemed inseparable; so how can something that seems so good suddenly become rotten in a very fast manner?
There are some theories that fans have formulated:
- Sarah who is still young only married Rich in order to get a green card and of course, to have access to Rich’s money.
- Sarah’s father visited the two in Iceland and a short time after that, the split was announced.
- They have differences that they cannot ignore anymore.
In the beginning, it seemed that everything was going to be fine even if they were no longer together. They were not speaking trash about each other. In fact, Rich announced through his Instagram account that even though they were no longer together, they were still friends. He even said that their split was due to their differences. He further stated that it was hard to be questioned all the time about where Sarah is and he had to explain to everyone why they have split up.
Things Turn Ugly
Months after the announcement, Rich became quiet about it until such time when he decided to speak out about the actual reason why they were getting a divorce. According to him, he is quite embarrassed about everything that has happened. He said that all of his friends are right; she (Sarah) only married him to get a green card and to get a lot of his money.
He said that he noticed that Sarah was transferring some money from his account to her family’s account in Iceland. He also says that she has been stealing money from him.
Statement of Sarah
Rich Piana has said his piece about the divorce but what does Sarah have to say about all of the things that Rich has stated? She says that she is inactive in social media because she wants to reflect on everything that has transpired. She says that she and Rich still have a lot of love for each other but they both decided to take a break in order to contemplate whether they should stay separated or if they would get back together. They have both decided after some time that in order to reach their long-time goals, they have to split apart.
She further states that it breaks her heart how people are questioning her reasons for marrying Rich when all she ever wanted is also to be loved. The former Rich Piana wife also says that she will also create her own video about her side of the story. She wants people to get a sense of who she truly is instead of being bashed wrongfully.
With all of the things that have happened between these two, it will be hard to take sides especially since we do not know the full story. Perhaps this is a story that has gotten bigger because of their status but it cannot be denied that getting a divorce is always a messy time for everyone involved.
