What are your thoughts the first time that you have seen Oddish? It can vary from one person to another. For people who are all about catching the strongest and rarest Pokemon, they may refer to the Oddish evolution chart to know more about this Pokemon.

There are a lot of people who have loved Pokemon the first time that they have seen the series. Some even collected merchandise that are all related to Pokemon. People will always have favorites but perhaps your favorite is Oddish. It will not be surprising if you do.

Learn More About Oddish

You are going to learn more about the Oddish evolution chart in a little bit but for now, let us focus on the first Pokemon that you may pick up when you are playing the game, Oddish. Oddish is a grass/poison type Pokemon and unlike other Pokemon characters that you may get in the game, it does have some tricks that can stun and paralyze the other Pokemon characters that you will encounter.

A couple of its notable moves are poison powder and stun spore. Poison powder does what it does which is it poisons the Pokemon that it is up against. Stun spore paralyzes the Pokemon so that it will not be able to move. This obviously gives you an advantage while playing the game.

The Oddish can be easy to find and you will probably encounter a lot of Oddish before you get to a new location. It is best that you pick out a young Oddish so that you can allow it to evolve and become stronger. You may be surprised to see what else it can do.

The Evolution of Oddish

Now that you have learned details about Oddish, it is time that you get to know what it is going to evolve into.

Gloom

You have to take note that Oddish is cute. It looks small and perky but with Gloom, you can already guess how it looks like – it looks a bit “gloomy.” Yet, this is what makes gloom appealing. This Pokemon with its eyes closed and drool coming out of its mouth is even stronger than Oddish.

Gloom is considered to be a flower monster which is different from how Oddish is. Oddish has grass growing out of its head while Gloom has a flower that is short of blooming fully. It is a bit ironic because you expect a flower monster to be cute and very colorful but it is just the opposite with gloom. The colors are somehow muted and it sort of looks like it has gone past the fresh flower stage.

This is probably because Gloom is based on the Carrion flower. If you are not familiar with this type of flower, this is a flower that has its mouth open because it catches flies and beetles. This explains Gloom’s odd appearance and why it is said to have a certain stench.

Once you have fallen in love with Gloom though, you will have to endure that it is going to evolve once again.

Vileplume

The moment that your Gloom evolves into Vileplume, you can expect that some of the moves that made Gloom amazing will be out of reach but do not worry because there are even more moves that you can do with Vileplume that makes it strong against the other Pokemon.

Vileplume is already the final evolution of Oddish which means that this is the way that your Oddish is going to look like forever. Vileplume looks cute again with its small eyes and its smiling mouth. The flower that seemed half open with Gloom is now fully open with Vileplume. In fact, the flower sort of looks like a hat that will serve as protection against the other Pokemon that may fight against it. One thing to remember with the Vileplume; the larger its petals are, the stronger it is. It signifies that the larger the petals, the more poisonous Vileplume is going to be.

Out of all the changes that will occur as seen on the Oddish evolution chart, which Pokemon is your favorite? Will you look at the Pokemon’s appearance in order to answer that question? Perhaps you are going to look at their unique qualities. No matter what you base your answer on, it cannot be denied that these are all fine Pokemon that are worth including in your lineup when you fight with other trainers through your chosen Pokemon game.
