The Ford F-450, like the Corvette, comes with a huge caveat here; if you are hauling things, like livestock, construction equipment, or anything else that weighs significant weight, you get a complete pass on this. Put simply, if this truck is for work, you’re not compensating. We’d consider it the same as a CEO of a financial powerhouse wearing a suit all the time. It’s just part of the job.
For anyone else, you’re compensating. Look, this truck has up to 440 horsepower, and you can’t even find information on its fuel economy (because it’s so terrible). So, unless you’re using the 860 lb.-ft. of torque for work, we’re going to go ahead and conclude that you’re compensating.
